Design Team Lead

Join our team as a Design Team Lead and take ownership of visual solutions across digital and print channels for our clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance creative thinking, team development, and operational excellence across a wide range of client projects.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Leading, organising and coordinating the design team, including task distribution and workload management
  • Actively participating in the development of creative ideas and visual solutions for key projects and campaigns
  • Setting priorities and ensuring timely delivery across all projects and clients
  • Mentoring and developing team members, supporting their career growth and long-term retention
  • Reviewing and giving final approval on all design solutions, ensuring quality, consistency and alignment with brand guidelines and client briefs
  • Collaborating with other teams and account managers to ensure aligned and timely delivery
  • Preparing regular reports on team performance, utilisation and results
  • Planning and communicating operational priorities for the team on a monthly basis
  • Managing team resources efficiently and contributing to budget oversight
  • Conducting performance evaluations and proposing rewards or development plans for team members
  • Actively introducing AI tools into design processes, setting standards for their use and educating the team
  • Contributing to the development of new services and creative directions
  • Developing and maintaining internal processes and workflows
  • Coordinating with external partners when required

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a marketing agency or similarly dynamic environment
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience in design for digital channels (social media, ads, web) and print
  • Background in developing and applying brand identity and creative campaigns, across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of marketing context (campaigns, channels, objectives)
  • Advanced use of AI tools in design and ability to integrate AI-generated visuals into commercial projects
  • Proven track record of leading a team, mentoring or coordinating other designers
  • Strong organisational skills, ownership mindset and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to set clear expectations, delegate tasks and maintain quality control across the team
  • Strong focus on motivating and developing team members, including giving constructive and timely feedback
  • Clear and effective communication, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams
  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive process improvements and change within a team
